Intermediate Saturdays: Session One: May 31st thru July 12th
Join us for Watercolor for Life, a popular and dynamic intermediate watercolor class designed to elevate your skills and deepen your love for this versatile medium. The class is perfect for artists looking to refine their technique, build confidence, and explore new creative possibilities.
Robert Leedy will guide you through this course, working with composition & design, developing a value range, and mastering color mixing. We will work with preserving the white of the paper, color mingling, discovering interesting grays created through color complements, and the art of color mingling and glazing to create complexity and visual interest in your paintings.
We will work from still lifes in the studio as well as photographs, providing diverse opportunities to practice and apply your skills. A good foundation in drawing is a plus, and prior watercolor experience is necessary—either through previous classes or confident skills in other painting mediums.
Whether you’re looking to improve your technique, experiment with new approaches, or simply enjoy the process of watercolor painting, this class will inspire and challenge you. Don’t miss out - this class fills quickly!
Robert designs these classes as continuous learning sessions to keep students painting actively. He strives for minimal repetition and keeps the classes interesting and challenging.
